Ministry Through The Arts

choirBecause God is our creator, and our creation in God’s image makes us creative beings as well, our endeavors in the arts are an important reflection of our relationship to God. The Arts Ministry encourages the development of our artistic gifts and the use of those gifts in worship, discipleship, evangelism and service.  We invite you to express and deepen your relationship with God through music, drama, visual art, film and dance.

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir provides music leadership in our Sunday morning worship service and also prepares larger works for special seasons of the church year.  This choir is open to all adults and rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7:15 pm in Room 301 (Choir Room).

Open Doors Arts Ministry

The Open Doors Arts Ministry offers classes for adults in a variety of artistic media regularly throughout the year.  Classes are taught by local art instructors for four consecutive weeks, meeting weekly for a three-hour session. Previous classes have included oil painting, pastels, collage, and pottery (hand building).  Special efforts are made to accommodate students with mobility issues.  Cost for a four-session class is $25, which includes all art supplies.
